Nicolas Cys holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from ESSEC Business School, a Masters degree in corporate law and taxation from the University of Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne and an LL.M from the University of Cologne, Germany.
Before founding La Tour International, Nicolas Cys worked at the International taxation department of CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre for almost 10 years.
His expertise focuses on French and international taxation for French and foreign companies, and for French and non-French tax-resident individuals.
His areas of expertise include:
Capital and asset taxation (acquisition and sale of businesses/companies, management of personal income tax, wealth tax and estate planning matters, providing support to managing directors of family groups to realize their French and international projects);
Tax advice and assistance in the transfer of residence outside of France, management of exit tax and trusts matters, regularization of bank accounts and assets held abroad, providing support to banks’ wealth engineering departments;
Tax and financial structuring of cross-border movable and immovable investments;
Issues relating to international mobility of top managers and CEOs;
Tax audit and tax litigation;
Real estate taxation;
Criminal tax law.
Since 2008 Nicolas Cys has been a lecturer at (i) ESSEC Business School in the MS DAIM program (Masters degree in international business law and management) and at (ii) EFE and IFE for international tax conferences in France, Luxembourg and Belgium.
Nicolas Cys is fluent in French, English and German.
